“Welcome to Amrita-Vocational Unit,” where we believe every young adult possess unique talents waiting to be discovered. Our mission is to transform abilities in to skills and foster independence by developing work place behavior, social, personal and Communication Skills.
By bridging the gap between education and practical work we provide a safe, supported and sheltered environment where our special young adults learn vocational skills enabling them to lead more independent and productive lives.
Our key components are Skill Training program, Work place behavior and placements, skill training is mainly given in the areas of computer typing, Data entry, paper plates making Block printing, Candle making, stitching, vocal & instrumental music and art & craft. Work place training focuses on work behavior. Punctuality, Safety, Social skills and managing time & money.
